Our Work
Through community outreach, cross-border partnerships, policy advocacy, and student scholarship, our projects translate human rights principles into action. Each initiative is student-led and grounded in service, education, and structural change.

01
Asylum & Immigration Patient Education
We provide accessible, culturally responsive informational materials for immigrant, asylum-seeking, and refugee patients at the CDU Student-Run Clinic on select Tuesdays each month. These sessions focus on rights education, health system navigation, and connecting patients to trusted legal and community resources.
02
Border Health & Humanitarian Partnership
In partnership with Refugee Health Alliance (RHA), we support humanitarian outreach efforts in Tijuana, Mexico. Students engage in cross-border health initiatives that address the urgent medical and human rights needs of displaced populations.

03
Advocacy, Lobbying & Policy Engagement
We participate in local and national advocacy efforts to address structural determinants of health. Our work includes collaboration with organizations such as STAND-LA and Physicians for Social Responsibility to support policy initiatives advancing environmental justice, public health equity, and immigrant rights.
04
Student-Led Human Rights Journal Initiative
We are launching a student-run publication dedicated to human rights in medicine. This journal will feature perspective pieces, scholarly commentary, and reflective writing that explores the intersection of healthcare, policy, ethics, and social justice.
